Lunar New Year

As usual Naha went all out for Lunar New Years. Okinawa's ancient ties to China really show around this time of year. It's also one of the few fesivals I enjoy. It usually coinsides with our Cherry Blossem festival. Eat that Mainlanders. We get our Cherry blossem watching first ( Read more... )

Weekend surfing contest

This coming weekend, I've been invited to go back down to the Island where I was born to take place in a surfing competition. I heard the waves this year will be taller. I'm rather excited about going. I haven't been down to Iramote in a while. Even if the surfing turns out to be a bust, I think I might just amuse myself in the jungle for a bit.

It's gotten colder

It seems I brought a bit of the mainland south with me on my return. It's been rather cold recently. Not as bad as it was up there but still I've actually had to get out my winter uniform. I hope the sea isn't too cold as I'm supposed to go surfing with a few of my friends this weekend.

Back to school today. It was a zoo as usual. First fight of the New Year happened on the way to school. It wasn't even a challenge for me. Being back in Okinawa was rather nice. It's strange how much I missed it with how similiar the Island was compaired to it. It was good to see my family and all my friends. However, I'm not pleased by how much I've missed while I was away ( Read more... )

I got some recent news from home. It seems my baby sister...has decided to start dating. And I'm not there to make sure the boy is good enough. I really haven't thought about going home, but now...there's a boy who's going to die if he makes my sister sad. I'll swim there, if I have to, if he makes her cry.
