Learned how to darn socks (thanks to instructions found online) and have stopped the worn parts of my tabi from turning into holes.
Considering that I'm more domestic typhoon than goddess the fact that nothing caught fire or flooded and there were no fatalities means that it was a resounding success!
Feeling much better and bought new shoes -- hooray for hiking footwear! Now next time it rains on the way to work I won't end up with soggy feet

Today's been a strange day. There have been long stretches of hard, frustrating work punctuated by watching Billy T James (RIP) on YouTube while waiting for the printer to finish. Lots of in-jokes, those sketches have made me homesick again.
An opportunity to teach in a studio might come about in the near future. A friend is contemplating getting a space somewhere nearby. It's too early yet to say whether it will happen or not, but perhaps I'll be very, very lucky and it will work out.
*eeeee* Elbow length fingerless gloves, three pair of tabi and a pair of legwarmers (for the wearing of anklet tabi with knee high boots). It was worth coming into work today!
... that I have had to go from happy 100% green energy back to nasty coal badness, which should almost cover the increase in rent. Now all we have to do is pull our belts one more notch and everything will be ok.
