In the 8 years of having email access and in the sending of over 30,000 emails, I believe I have screwed up my sending (as in to where they should be going) of emails a total of 5 times. In those 5 times, I have used 'Etiquette' once for the purpose of changing the wording in 8 years

Personally, I agree with you, and often don't use etiquette to cover up anything but trivial mistakes. My favorite one was still calling Cockrobin's Archons newbies when I meant to send it to the Archon's list. JJ thought it was hilarious.
