It is really scary how people could easily believe rumors and fuel them, like the photography club members who were probably feeling jealous/envious of jun and his talent.

You are exactly correct, it was their jealousy that compelled them to believe the rumors about Jun. Gossip and rumors are terrible, and more often then not people start believing rumors before they even realize it's just a rumor.

As I was imagining it, love-hate banter is the spices for life and somehow for this pairing, they're a picture perfect for that.
