I heard tell of a planned strike by LJ posters. I will not be participating in such an event. It's an idea as foolish as the idea for no one in America to get gasoline all on the same day. I had a chainmail about the gas idea a few years ago when it was bad after Katrina. It's a ridiculous idea. If you could honestly convince everyone in America for one day... what would that prove? People would fill up either the day before or the day after. Plus shit couldn't be delivered anywhere, and people would be pissed.

And for what? I don't think the oil companies would get the idea unless there was like a month-long strike... which just flat out isn't possible in our society (which is the whole problem to begin with).
