I rarely finish books I start--my bookcase is literally filled with half-read books. Then again, I have dyslexia and it takes me a long time to read even short books. So by the time I get to the middle of them I'm usually at a different point in my life where I've moved onto thinking about something else by then.

Have been meaning to give Illuminatus Trilogy a try soon. Accelerando would probably the other likely one I might try if that doesn't hold my interest enough. (I'm about a third of the way through Guns, Germs, and Steel and I'm sensing that I'll soon put it down, although it has been very good... just long)
