Kurt slowly took in the room, his eyes glancing over the others admist the streamer and balloons. His father stood begrudgingly in the corner with Carole, both of whom, after seven months were still coming to terms that this had turned from a going-away party to a baby shower. Santana was following Brittany around on her quest for the stork. Rachel sat talking Finn's ear off about her decorations. Quinn sat as far away from the two them as possible, catching Kurt's eye as she continued to listen to Mercedes discuss what ever topic the two girls had stumbled upon. Her pressed, brief, shy smile was another in the line of apologies the blonde girl had been offering since she had apologized for her behaviour when he'd first shared his pregnancy with his fellow Glee club members. He'd been quick to forgive because he understood his growing belly was a constant reminder of her experience sophomore year. Briefly he wondered what would Quinn would think of the situation if she ever discovered the truth. She probably would consider it some sort of karma for Puck.
Slowly, Kurt's eye drifted behind Quinn to where Blaine was leaning against the wall. Blaine who had ended things. Blaine who had came back after he'd moved on. Blaine who had been a mistake.
Blaine who wasn't Puck.
His thoughts were interrupted by a hand lacing through his on top of his belly.
"He's moving." Came the whisper in his ear as Puck pulled him closer.
Puck who stepped up. Puck who had yet to waiver. Puck who had been there right in front of him all along. Puck who could never know about Kurt's mistake. Because Kurt couldn't imagine, didn't want to imagine how Puck would react to the possibilty this child wasn't his. No, some times ingorance was bliss.
And Kurt didn't care if the baby came out of him with a head full of over abundant curls and a pair of eyebrows with three equal sides. He would go to his grave swearing this child was Noah Puckermans.
