So I was surfing Tom Paxton's Website, and it turns out he's got some videos up on youtube. So I'm 30 seconds into watching his video from 1964, and as he's babbling to Pete Seeger about when they first met, I see in the corner of my eye a "related link" to a Phil Ochs video.

Because I'm always interested when it appears I have no direct connections with someone: How did you happen to run across me? Are you in any of the Weirdjews communities, or were you just LJ hopping?

Oh, and are they looking for History teachers out there? :)

I did comment on your LJ already (didn't think to actually check my own). Yes, I was LJ-hopping. I admit it. LJ-hopping is almost as bad as internet checkers for wasting my time. But I find some cool people!

Meanwhile, according to our HR webpage:

they are looking for a social studies teacher for the junior high. Now, middle school social studies could be anything from Geography to Civics to History, for all I know about social studies. But that seems like the likeliest match, if you were interested (if you really are, wait until the end of the school year -- there will be so many vacancies it's ridiculous. I watched that happen last summer before I came out here. There is a high turnover rate here).

Are you sure you want to teach middle school though? ;-)
