Why Cheney is being a twit

Last nite I figured out why Dick Cheney is being such a twit. As we all know, he really dislikes all Democrats, especially Obama, and really wants them to fail. Lately he's been commenting about how if Obama is releasing formerly Secret memoes about torture, he should release ALL documents, especially the ones that are still secret, to show just

People are confused? It seemed pretty clear that he was making the case that if the new administration is going to make transparency a policy they should implement it less selectively.

And you believe him? He's only pushing it because he knows the government Can't make them public, thus using this as an opportunity to make the Dems look like they have egg in their face.

Or do you believe that Cheney has no ulterior motives?

I see no distinct reason not to believe him and it strikes me as a reasonable objection regardless.

Ultimately arguments over motives are fairly boring. For every person saying Cheney is trying to embarrass the current administration, there's another who says Obama is selectively releasing documents to embarrass the previous administration and deflect criticism from his own. Until and unless proof beyond conjecture arises, I find it pointless. People will see things as they're predisposed to.
