If this is coming from PETA than I might just give them money. I hate their tactics, and think most of their targets are wrong, but as a FARMER, and a supporter of diversified agriculture, and as someone who has to eat on this planet, I WANT TO KNOW WHERE MY FOOD COMES FROM. AND I AM NOT BUYING TEST TUBE COWS!!!
As a person who buys my food from a FARM (South Mtn. Creamery) I know *exactly* where my food comes from because I can drive out there and meat it. (Meat. hahahhaha).
Seriously, a cloned cow is the same as a twin cow. There's no difference. This is not like genetic-hacked cows, or the BGH equipped cows or cows stuck in pens and fed HUMAN ZOMBIE BLOOD!
I believe strongly in getting into fights for cause. Clones are not cause. I also believe in personal responsibility so if people want to know that their cow is grass-fed they should buy it from a farm where it's raised that way. Yes it costs more; my milk is 5 bucks a gallon instead of 2.99 for store milk. But that's the price one pays.
NO NO NO NO A CLONED COW IS NOT THE SAME AS A TWIN!!!!! A TWIN is a naturally occurring abnormality in cattle. In Sheep and Goats it is almost expected. A CLONE is a TEST TUBE BABY. It yanks natural selection right off the shelf and squashes it like a bug. It is HUMANS playing at being GOD. We've wrecked this planet ENOUGH. GO clone yoruself if you feel that strongly about it! Is a clone of you your TWIN??? Really now. NOT THE SAME!
Well, I don't trust cloned meat as there haven't been any long term studies on it and I don't know what kinds of anomalies there may be in the proteins, etc. I would certainly NOT trust it during pregnancy and breastfeeding, though if I were not pregnant nor breastfeeding I would be LESS concerned.
