Best of Robin Williams-- Weapons of Self Destruction

Dec 30, 2009 19:05

These are a TINY number of really excellent jokes/quotables from Robin Williams' new stand-up show "Weapons of Self Destruction." If you have HBO, take time to DVR it. It's HILARIOUS. More of these later, when I have time to re-watch and write down some of my favorites-- these are all from his fan site.

Delightful! My love for him is truly unconditional. He can do all sorts of terrible things in his life and I will still think he is the best thing since sliced bread. A tendency to break out into Riverdance.... snerk ;-)

And that isn't even the really funny stuff-- the bit where he goes into what voices for a GPS should sound like is uproarious. If you go to http://www.robin-williams.net you can see all of this great info about him, including video and interviews and all. There's even an address where to snail mail him so you can get an autographed picture back!

I am proud to say I have never gotten so drunk that I have violated or lowered mys tandards. I am drunk now, too. truth serum for me. But in a way it bringsout the purest me. I know who I am and what I stand for and what I will do and what I will regret. I rejected the...very needy chick who wanted to go make out and probably have sex last year at NYE. I knew I'd regret it. I did end up with the girl I ended up dating for a year and breaking up with last month, but I knew even then that this was probably not going to work. Last year, I...knew full well what I was getting into in Rhode Island, and did of clean conscience and clear mind, despite being three sheets to the wind. I was not the first person they'd offered Brennevan Icelandaic Moonshine to, but I was the first person to ask for a second (and then a third) round. That was not the trouble. The trouble came later. But again, I knew full well what I was getting inot. Consciously chose to risk it being a mistake. It ended up being a mistake. Dealt with, living with ( ... )

LOL. I would love to share a bottle of wine ... if I drank, which I actually do not, mostly because I'm an uptight control freak but also because alcohol fucks with my meds.

But it's the thought that counts. You can have the wine and I'll have something non-alcoholic. Or I'll do as the Metatron does with the tequila in "Dogma"-- take a sip, then spit it into a different glass ;)
