NBCU strikes again..

The Fox Theater in Toronto was going to have a screening of the BSG Finale...but alas, it got nixed by NBCU  Kinda torques me off because it was the closest screening venue to where I live and it would have been nice to have gone.

The part of the article that piqued my curiosity was:  "I called a copyright lawyer," he says. "According to him,

Do these people actually have lives? or just go around ruining everyone elses.

I dunno why they couldn't just issue a special dispensation. I realize that it's not a bar...like most of the other venues that are showing it. A bar has special licensing so that they can show TV shows...which is how I figure most of the US venues are able to hold viewings.

On the flip side, if I'm going to need as much tissues as I think I am, it's probably a good thing that I'm watching it at home. :D
