my font choices are abysmal. i like the font because it looks better than any other font i've tried in there.

i will dig though. it was late when i finished it last night and i didn't try all of my fonts. i want to do some other stuff to it too.

keep at it!

get ideas from looking at other people's designs that you admire (don't copy, but observe how they are making things work and use that as a jumping off point for experimenting with various elements).

font choice always seems one of the most difficult elements of design, in my opinion, because if it works, your audience won't even notice what's happening. but if it doesn't work, something will seem strange/distracting to them even if they won't be able to identify what it is. also, there are SO MANY fonts to choose from that it seems to take forever to sort through them all. but it does get easier the more experience you get.

i think you are going in the right direction with this font, but not necessarily there.

btw: how did the music festival go? you should write us an entry.

a cigar! why didn't i think of that... actually, the cigar might take away from the idea of a clown trying to dominate the world - i thought of superimposing Bush's face onto the harlequine, but thought that would be too overt. i think maybe the copyright on 'world domination' makes up for no cigar.

i guess you're ok then. i was thinking dictator, like the good ol' militaristic kind, but i wasn't thinking of a militaristic dictator who pretends to be fighting for freedom and to help people. a pretender like that wouldn't have a cigar, he'd have daisies or something. i still like it though.
