Best week ever: Technology hates me

I need to backup my files. Mostly images, music and probably a ton of psds... I'm thinking an external hard drive would be good here

External hard-drive is definitely easy as long as you just need to transfer files, I think system files are a bit more complicated. But, I only know PCs!

The main fix for the hard drive seems to be to reinstall everything. So, I don't think I'm going to back up any software or OS files. I believe I have all the CDs for that.

I might backup the ftp client because it's old.
