I spent a great Friday night with my colleagues.
First of all we played a game in the office. It was actually a game which we want to play with our client, in their face to face workshop next week. This game supposed to mimic their new supply chain process once they have established a hub here in Singapore. In order to test whether the game can be played smoothly, we used colleagues as guinea pigs. Although the process had many gaps, it was extremely fun.
After that of my colleague organized a barbecue party at a Korean restaurant. I think the meet was pretty good but it's still not as good as superstar K which is just near my house. But I guess the most fun part was that we played "titanic", which was Korean drinking game. The game goes like this: you poor dear into a bigger glass, and then a small soju glass into the big glass. As the soju glass is still empty it will float. Then you ask everyone to poor soju into the beer glass how much they want. The person at which the glass sinks has lost and has to drink thr whole glass of beer soju. It was very fun.
After that I invited many of my colleagues to my place, as I still have some bottles of alcohol left. Compared to drinking outside, this way it is much cheaper and quieter. I open the bottle of Moutai, a very expensive Chinese wine, which I got it from my dad last year. Everyone was pretty impressed about the bottle. I guess no one really had ever drank Chinese wine which was 52% alcohol. We passed around the little glasses, and everyone had a sip.
With the alcohol flowing, we talked about all different topics but at the end of the day the topics just revolve around money, marriage and getting kids. I guess I must be getting old.
After everyone head back around 1 o'clock in the morning, I realized that I'm very blessed with this kind of colleagues around me, who I can just easily invite to my place and talk about fun stuff. Really, I do love my office here in Singapore. Although The people at the office have changed: 90% of them have left and I one of the last 3 people here in the office, and I only joined not even three years ago. But I have to say, that I still love each and every colleague in this office. They are smart, hard-working and fun to party with. I guess that is also the reason, why am still with my company.
