But where is the Dave filling?

I apologise for not having written in this thing for quite some time. The moment I had gotten the cats, my LJ writing (as well as my own personal writing, as well as my walking in the neighbourhood, as well as my video gaming, as well as my dot dot dot) has become all but nonexistent. However, now that I'm over the initial shock of having three ( Read more... )

Work, as I said, is hell. To sum it up in a nutshell (Help, I'm trapped in a nutshell.), our boss has bitten off more than we minions can chew; however, in a nasty case of catch-22, if we weren't doing so much work, we wouldn't have the funds to pay for our crew through the end of our fiscal year. Those same words can be applied to my old job before I left. I had been with the company for several years and towards the end we were doing about 4 times the work we had been doing when I first started, yet with about 70% of the staff and a lot of other pressure. The bosses constantly told us we had to work harder because they didn't know if they could budget all of us to be on staff with the amount of work going out. It was starting to stress me a bit,and I'm the kind of person who is almost never stressed. I don't think any job is worth ruining your personal life. Well... I take that back: if I were out in some third world country curing diseases or doing something else that actually mattered, I'd be willing to sacrifice almost ( ... )

Of course your friends will always love you. You're the type of person it's impossible /not/ to love.

I wouldn't worry to much on your 'failing grades' - it's only been 27 days into the year! Just keep at it. =3

I do hope things get better career-wise, it's nice to know you have some upcoming possibilities. I'm really glad you finally decided to update- was getting increasingly worried. =\

Love you, Dave. I'd like to see more of what your writing up on your journal. =D

As always, you're in my prayers, although I'll try to remember to make a special point of praying for your job situation. Don't just rely on external clues to decide where you should go, get God's input.

Perhaps it's just my perspective versus your perpsective. But I believe that God speaks in clues both through the heart and through situation. I have experienced His miracles in both ways before.

I think what you simply need is getting rid of that stress having some fun in Seattle! I can't wait to have you here. We will cook good food, play lots of videogames, and go places! Oh yeah! ;)

Thanks for the conversation. I hope you are feeling better. If you need anything, you know where I am -- even though after Tuesday it will be a LOT easier. :) GAMBATTE!

I'm sorry to hear about the stresses at work- I've gotten to see that before, from the outside, but it was still close- Jake was in a similar role at his old company. Wether you stay where you're at, or you do decide to move on to another opportunity, I'll be wishing you some stress free luck!

Aren't pets great? X)
