At one point in time I actually tried to define what love was, you know. What a fool I was to take on such a task, don't you think? I was surprised by the outcome, or the lack thereof.
It's very contradictory, if you think about it. If love is happiness, then why does love hurt? If love is joy, then why does love make us cry? The infinity of love is something so great, and so vast, that I don't think anyone will ever be able to comprehend it fully.
If there is a person who understands love, it would most likely be a person in love. Even then, however, will they truly understand it? Love makes us act like fools (*sings*), and quite honestly, it's a roller coaster ride that we unwillingly (or willingly, for some) become strapped into to go through it's many loops.

After a lot of searching, I found this entry that I wrote on the subject a full two-and-a-half years ago. Perhaps this might be helpful in deciphering that mystery.
