Tea Time, with Zelda and Ganondorf

Sep 10, 2007 01:08

A little RP between lroy (playing Zelda) and me (playing the big G-man). Completely out of the context of any of the Zelda games. (Honestly, there's Adventure of Link, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and sheer awesome all in there. :3)

Zelda walks across the cool, marble floor of the North Palace. Only the faint sound of her scuffling feet can be heard, barely enough to cause an echo. The chill in the air here is harsher than usual, causing Zelda to stop and slowly turn towards the door. It is there she sees a terrifyingly familiar visage...

Ganondorf is hidden from view at first, but a grin grows upon his visage when he hears the footfalls of his prey coming down the hall. He knew she would come here, and he can just smell victory in the air. How hard it is to resist laughter while she is unaware of him, but once her eyes meet is, his resistance breaks. "Well, well, what have we here? Such a delicate flower... ready to have its petals plucked?"

Zelda steps back and her hands fly to her chest and meet protectively there. She narrows her eyes and raises her chin to meet his cruel glare. "Stay back!" she shouts commandingly, though in her heart there is true fear.

The evil lord stands up from his chair and slowly steps forward, his boots echoing endlessly off of the walls. "You were a fool to come here by yourself, Princess," he says casually with just a hint of malevolence. "Are you that desperate for the Pearls that you send Link to the other end of Hyrule while you come alone? I'm quite amused." He grins, exposing his teeth. "It ends here, my dear."

Zelda stays her nerves and calls upon all her strength to keep from shaking. She arches her brows and smiles. "Bold words, Ganondorf, but you are also alone." She approaches him calmly and carefully. "Link can handle himself," she says as she draws a small sword. "And so can I."

"Can this really be?" Ganondorf says with surprise as she draws her sword. His eyes become bigger as the surprise fills him with dark desire. "The princess dares to cross swords with the great Ganondorf." Ganondorf draws his own blade, much wider than the girl's, and grips it with both hands. "I... certainly hope you've been practising; you know how I hate disappointment."

The hilt of Zelda's blade is slick with sweat. She will have to be fast to avoid Ganondorf's superior range. "Impressive," she says, watching him intensely. "Yet I wonder..." She places her free hand on her hip and gazes at him inquisitively, hoping to distract him. "Yes, it is quite a large sword, isn't it? I do wonder..." she trails off, seemingly deep in thought.

Ganondorf frowns at the princess, his anger at her implied insult rapidly stewing him to rashness. "We can settle THAT mystery," he says carefully, "in due time..." He now rushes Zelda, closing the space between them with his sword at the ready, and begins to swing his blade to see just how good she is.

Zelda narrowly avoids being hacked in two by Ganondorf's swing. She rolls away and runs behind a large pillar. Admittedly, she hadn't thought this far forward into her plan. "I'd rather not!" she shouts back at him in a shockingly honest and calm tone. "You see, I'm actually rather shy!"

Ganondorf's sword completely misses Zelda's as she flees from his presence. The thought makes him laugh viciously, snickering at his pathetic prey. Completely ignoring her comments he summons a ball of dark energy into his left hand, holding it as if it were made of the finest crystal. "Go ahead, my dear. Run while you can... before it's too late." He flings the orb to the column that Zelda is standing behind, intent on bringing down the whole castle to get her if he must.

The blast of the dark energy sprays the cavernous room with large chunks of marble. Zelda cries out at the loud sound and covers herself. A few pieces come crashing down upon her, bruising her, but she has narrowly avoided certain death with nothing more than what seems the favour of the Goddesses. Having lost her hiding spot, she reluctantly rises out from behind what remains of the column. "Too late for what, Ganondorf?" she asks with a laugh before darting off once again.

Ganondorf smirks as Zelda dashes off again, just delaying the inevitable. He slowly walks toward her new hiding place, each step giving away his location. "Before I don't allow you to run anymore, of course. Or have you forgotten how it happened... last time?" He summons another sphere of magic into his hand and sends it off again, not caring whether she was taken dead nor alive.

The blast hits another column to Zelda's left, the sheer force of impact sending her crashing into the ground. She cries out as she can feel something tear at her shoulder and when she lands she can feel the blood running down her arm. She bites her lip, realizing that this has not gone to plan at all...

Ganondorf spies the blood trickling down her snowy skin, and this merely sends him into a slight mania of bloodlust, yet quickly he quells it, not wishing to lose control when he was so precious close to being one step closer to the full Triforce. "What's the matter, Zelda? Have you realised that you cannot win?" He cackles to himself, almost gleeful with mirth. "There are alternatives to fighting, you know. You could parley... or beg. I can be a benevolent man..."

Zelda sits up and grimaces, her hand gripped tightly around her wounded arm. "Benevolent indeed," she says, the pain evident in her ragged voice. "You would have me on my knees to beg for my life before putting the sword to my neck." She spits out a tired, bitter laugh.

Ganondorf's smile continues to widen. "Oh no, Princess. There are FAR more useful things I can do with you..." He cackles again; restraining himself is becoming so difficult. "After all, I only want your golden triangle. Apart from it, you're suddenly not so important anymore..."

Zelda looks to her injured arm and trails it down to her hand and the pulsating aura that now surrounds it. "The pieces are in unison," she whispers, looking to Ganondorf's own glowing hand. Slowly, Zelda stands, her sword still lingering in her hand. "The Triforce of Wisdom is not yours to take, Ganondorf. Wisdom is something you must earn through sacrifice and experience."

Ganondorf simply raises his free hand to his chin and curls his finger atop his lips. "Is that so?" he says. He, too, can feel the pulse of his own Triforce pumping through his veins, filling him with insatiable amounts of power. "Then that leaves me no other choice; I'll just have to make YOU the sacrifice!" He thrusts his arm forward, sending liquid flame at the girl, wishing nothing more than to finish this once and for all!

With a short gasp, Zelda brings her arms up to her face and utters a few words that bring up a barrier. The flames dance around her but do no damage. When it is done, Zelda's arms come down slowly and she can feel the power draining from her. The spell was too much and too quickly done. Her knees are buckling. "Parley," she squeaks.

Ganondorf scoffs, almost saddened by the fact that she hadn't put up more of a struggle, but he HAD had his share of fun. "That's more like it," he says. He places the tip of his blade upon the ground, leaning against it all too comfortably. "But unfortunately, you're going to have to play by my terms. I get your Triforce. And if you can't give it up freely, then I take you along for the ride. For such a prize, I let you live. Are we agreed?"

Zelda looks up to him and studies his face for a moment. All is silent until she speaks again, slowly and in the regal tone she can never abandon. "You would let me live?" she asks, narrowing her eyes.

Ganondorf remains silent for a moment, weighing Zelda's near stubbornness against his his impatience. "Do you have an issue with those terms, Princess? I could easily crush your soul now and take your Triforce from your corpse if you would rather..."

"Very well," she chirps in suddenly, "I agree." She drops her sword and closes her eyes, reminding herself that this is only a battle lost, not an entire war. Opening her eyes, she looks towards Ganondorf and gives him a look of death. "You are a pitiful man, Ganondorf."

Ganondorf sweeps forward towards her, placing his boot upon her dropped blade, just in case she gets any ideas. Grabbing her bleeding shoulder firmly, jerking her towards him, he smiles evilly. "Your grasp of the Hylian language is failing; I believe the word you're looking for is 'powerful'. So, I take you'll be holding out and accompanying me then?" He lowers his head slightly to look at her with his orange eyes with intensity. "Or have you been lying to your king?"

Understanding him perfectly yet ever curious about the boundaries by which she is held, Zelda looks back to him with unflinching blue eyes. "I have no king."

Ganondorf is no mood to be tested, and so, once he sheathes his sword, he raises his hand to smack her across her cheek. He grabs her chin and forces her to look at him so that she might know precisely who IS in charge. "You do now." And in that instant, Ganondorf, grasping Zelda as if she were an insolent child, he invokes his magic to return to his own castle, dematerialising into nothing... with the Pearl still waiting for its rescuer...
