I just finished commenting on a friend's entry and remarked on our ebook readers. I personally chose the Kindle 2 in part for its free web browsing, which you can definitely abuse when you don't have mobile data service, and my personal preference for clickable hardware buttons. It's worth noting that the nook, which runs on android, has already been hacked all to hell--with a web browser, a pandora client, etc., already made. By the time I get mine in mid-January I'm pretty sure I won't have to worry about DRM anymore.

So I agree re: stealing e-books. One of the reasons I chose the nook is because it is so much more stealing-friendly. (Also because it is much more Canada-friendly; wi-fi + SD card, rather than relying on a cellphone network.)
