downstairs locked, she goes into one of the side rooms.

I think the word you're looking for is Gourmand.
I guess I'd better report you to King Bowser. You aren't supposed to
leave your room.
But I AM really hungry... Tell you what... I'll keep this a secret if you
make me something really yummy.

what do you say? WIll you cook me something or what?
Peach: I'd love to cook for you, Mr. Gourmet Guy, but...
I have no ingredients and no utensils.

guards and their absurdly short-range flashlights, checks out the rooms.

Bowser took over and has no intention of coming back out as long as the
castle is afloat.

They take the Offscreen Express back to the dining room, and Peach
presents the cake to Gourmet Guy.
...Was it the Ajax that somehow got in with the sugar? Nah, couldn't be.
Peach heads back downstairs to try again, and this time...
GG freaks out and bounces off the walls for a few minutes, then calms
down so he can thank Peach.
Phew...
That was really good.
I haven't felt this way since... well, ever!
To show my gratitude, I'll tell you a secret.
One of the Star Spirits is inside Mt. Lavalava on Lavalava Island.
This island is to the south.
You should tell this to Mario.
But you'd better tell him that there's also a nasty Lava Piranha guarding
the Star Spirit.
He'd better be careful.
I really don't dislike Mario. That's why I'm telling you this.
Gourmet Guy leaves the dining room, presumably to find some more snacks to devour.
Peach: Twink, did you hear that!? Mt. Lavalava! Lavalava Island.
The Star Spirit is being held inside that volcano!
Twink: Mario could really use this information, huh?
