I'm not really happy with this news either. Why not shoot a third season instead of a real action movie?

Hollywood and anime genres contradict in many aspects. And GitS is too precious to be experimented upon.

Its going to be cringe worthy, usually I try and defend things like this ('Give it a chance' and all that) but its different with GitS. Can you really see them staying true to the original depth and complexity, especially when its going to be aimed mostly at an American audience. Its going to be all gunfights and 'witty' one liners :( I don't even want to think what will happen to the Tachikomas!

I agree with Starbuckjr, I would have much preferred a third season.

Never mind WHO plays the Major, HOW will they? I mean, will they make the actress more...realistic...or will they follow the anime? And if they do follow the anime, how will they replicate her figure?
