That IS a crazy day! And yes, I remember Heather...and I don't think we were so much friends as we were orchestra geeks. Anyway, I just called your house, but Manny said you just went out. Yesterday was the Full Moon--a Blue Moon, at that--and things are always always always craziest just before, during, and just after the Full Moon. Plus, today is Lammas...of course, you aren't Pagan, so that may not mean much to you...but today is a rather powerful, heavy day in a cosmic sense.

Lammas is the holiday that marks the beginning of the harvest season. There's quite a bit of bread and beer involved. It's still a time of joy and celebration, but there is a hint of the bittersweet, since the days are indeed getting shorter, and it won't be so very long before the season changes and we welcome autumn and then winter.
