he said "okay" because he wanted you to keep working there, not because he was okay. i figure there are two types of bosses (to kinda steal an idea that, actually, my ex-boss gave to me). the one type of boss would sit with you and seriously consider your situation and tell you their concerns and the possibility that, if you cut your work hours short (or availability) enough, they'd have to let you go. the other, I'm betting, was your boss. crunch numbers as best as he can, and just say 'yes' until it's better for him to say 'no' (or vice versa). i hate this thinking. and so, logically, i hate your old boss. i'm glad you don't work for him anymore. and I think it's funny that you were right about the store disappearing. and, of course, i miss you.
