Being the head of Guest Relations for Otakon is a difficult job.

One of the easier things I have to do is do research so we know what guests to invite to Otakon. denkigrve was nice enough to handle most of the email that comes my way, and he was thoughtful enough to compile material and info for most of the people requested. The highlight of ComCon this year was the dinner on Saturday night. The food was unimportant. The nice part of the dinner was the present given to Callie and I by Brian Ma and the rest of the Otakon Staff. The gift was a piece of art signed by all of the people present at Otakon 2003. One of the perks of working for Otakon, we have a mini convention that we hold as a "This is what us suckers missed while running our asses off working Otakon". Unlike a regular convention with guests and panels for anime, we held meetings, meetings and more meetings. Tons of meeting. Got a lot of work done. Honest ( Read more... )

Steve Spurrier said the following when commenting on Joe Gibb's appointment :) as head coach of the Washington Redskins:

"There's no question that that;s what was needed. And hopefully, the fans will say: 'Thank God for Spurrier stepping aside and making all this possible'"

YAY! All I can say is YAY!

Joe Gibbs is back. He was the entire reason I got into Redskins football (well, not entirely, but he coached during my team formative years), and now he is back, coaching the burgundy and gold! I just hope all goes well, but I firmly believe if there is one coach Snyder will not try to boss around, it is Gibbs.

Whew!

Back on diet. Food going to be bland (except the Salmon). Oh well. I feel beter once I am on it for a few days.
