Dissertation update

So my committee has had the first full draft for about a month now, and yesterday we all came together for a meeting to discuss revisions. There are little things, totally doable, and then one major thing

Right? That's probably what I'm really happiest about. They're all, "Okay, so we're totally convinced, but here's how you can be even more convincing to people other than us." Which is exactly what I needed! :D

Good to hear-- that'll let you integrate more fan theory as well. (btw, I happened to mention your work to my supervisor, who'd be interested in reading it when it's done for a future book he's writing... ;)

Yes, this was also one of my responses. Though...well, we should talk. Because I think I have some disagreements with your supervisor's book. Though they may be productive disagreements. (But I have to finish reading it first. :D)

::g:: Ok-- there are a number of books that build on/critique Matt's book, as well as addressing new media & such, which weren't around in 2002. Let me know when you're done & we can chat by email or Skype or whatever. :)
