The Dark Assembly is one of the core political bodies of the Netherworld government. Their job is to evaluate, then either pass or reject bills put forward by citizens of the Netherworld. These bills can range from trivial, to nonsensical, to extremely important. The bill is put forth by the concerned citizen, then opened for debate between them and a randomly selected group of senators. Once the debates have proceeded, the senators vote, with a majority passing or rejecting the bill.
Dealing with the Dark Assembly is an unsubtle art, which is much easier if you understand the philosophies of demons in general, as the senators are no different. They respond well to bribes, flattery, and occasionally threats, although it helps to be able to back up the latter. One notable technique revolves around the fact that, once an assembly is over, the senate seems more than eager to move on as if the congregation had never taken place. Accordingly, it is frequenty safe to make wild promises that you have no intent of keeping in order to get someone to support your bill.
There are a number of senators, each of which responds more readily to a different sort of persuasion. I have dealt with the following:
Senator Shroomed: Something of a disreputable businessman. I suspect that the more receptive one acts to his sales pitches, the more favorable he will become to your own proposal.
Senator Trap: Seems to be reasonable, in a normal way. No known quirks.
Senator Cocoo: Unknown, failed to communicate.
Senator Sexy: Also unknown, but possibly response well to attractive males.
Senator Zombie: Will reply favorably to anyone who claims to be an advocate of undead rights.
