the most bad-ass movies take place in Boston.

1. Departed
2. Boodock Saints
3. Gone Baby Gone
4. Black Irish
5. Mystic River

Only disaster movie take place in New York. Boston movies are mostly about killing people which is infinitely more awesome.

Therefore, Boston = Awesome.
