As of right now, with less than 8000 signatures left to check, it seems almost guaranteed that Referendum 71 is going to be on the ballot in Washington state this year

Which will effect everyone who's in a domestic partnership as far as I understood it. >.>
I swear to the gods these people need to take a good hard look in the mirror to see the small minded monsters they've become. All because they'ed rather believe someone's interpritation of an old paeleolithic religion.. Pick and freakin choose what's conveniant. I don't see them offering up their daughters into slavery.. Most of them probaly stuff bacon down their throats so fast..
It's a convoluted mess. The states are totally fucked up about this kind of thing. I come from Canada so I'll try and do the translation...
And first off, you've already fallen into the trap that the bigots want... "do you feel that this thing has a real chance of passing?" ... We *NEED* it to pass. If it does NOT pass all the work of the last 2 years are undone and domestic partnership goes back to it's pitiful state that it is right now.
Early this year, the government DID pass the law (SB5688). That was not a problem. It passed with a good majority
