It is only the third day, and it is one of the shittiest day of my life.
Somehow, I woke up with a feeling that it was not going to be a good day. I was right.
After brekkie, I went to the CLAIR centre to check my temperature. The staff there were worried because I was showing quite a few flu symptoms. I agreed to go to the hospital for a checkup.
Goodness gracious. Take my advice: if you are ever unlucky enough to end up in hospital in Japan (which today was my first time), bring something to entertain yourself with for a good couple of hours. The woman from CLAIR was with me the whole time. We waited what seemed like an eternity to be seen by the doctor. There was no way of knowing how to long to wait for. I am terrible at waiting for anything. Let's say if I need to wait an hour for a bus, I'd rather take an hour to walk home than to wait. The thing about waiting indefinitely annoyings the jitters out of me.
Anyway, when we sat down in front of the doctor, he took my temperature again, checked throat etc, breathing irregularities, etc. Then he asked me if I want to take a test to check to see if I have the flu. Hell yeah, of course I do, that's why I waited so long. To test, he had to stick this thin stick, about the size and length of a skewer, right into my nose. Of course he didn't stick it in the entire way, or I may be dead already. That's to get some viral from my nose, the doc said.
We waited outside again for another 15 minutes for the test results to come out. It turns out I have the Type A Influenza. Now now, the infamous H1N1, or swine flu, is in fact a subtype of Type A. Unfortunately, they could not determine whether it was exactly H1N1 just with that test. Though I felt like yelling to the doctor what the heck were we doing if we weren't determining whether it is H1N1 or not, I refrained from doing so. Type A is the most common flu and almost everyone has got it once in their life.
I was told to stay in my room the rest of the day =_= I could still go out to buy food. I have a lot of food with me now. Whenever I am upset, I always end up eating a lot. Eating usually makes me feel better.
If anyone knows me, there's almost nothing that can chain me down to a specific place. After being in my room for 10 minutes, I snuck out, went to the nearest JR station and hopped on a train to Suidoubashi (水道橋). Why? The Shounen Jump Shop there at a place call Tokyo Dome City. It was a combination of a park (with rollar coaster, merry-go-round, rides like that) with various shops (UFO catcher shops, hobby shops, JUMP SHOP, so on). I didn't want to spend too much money, so I bought my brother a One Piece shirt for his birthday. I got a Chopperman drink for myself XD Chopper is so cute.
At night, I stayed in the hotel and watched Supernatural. I also went out to the Metropolitan Building's North Observatory again.
It is an eventful day. Morning was awful, afternoon got better.
