I have escaped the fate of being detained for quarantine *phew*.
Yesterday
Fortunately, CLAIR had no further plans to detain me yesterday morning. Together with the other new Aichi JETs, we went to Nagoya station by shinkansen. There, I met my supervisor, W-san.
W-san and I went on the Meitetsu train to Ichinomiya. I was so glad when W-san said that I can take off my mask. It was very hot and uncomfortable. My nose was no longer blocked, so I could at least breathe.
We went to the work place right away to get my lugguage. I met my predeseccor, superiors and fellow co-workers. They all seemed really nice. That made me much more relieved. I couldn't work without my hanko, so one was ordered to be delivered the next day.
After work, W-san took me to go futon shopping. We went to this big furniture store, called Nitori. There were all kinds of furniture you can possibly name. W-san paid for my pillow case and pillow cover as a present. The 掛け布団 and 敷布団 as well as the covers for them cost close to 20000 yen.
Today
The trains were quite noisy last night. They almost never stopped coming. The cargo trains were the loudest. I could almost feel them shaking the apartment slightly as they pass. Somehow, I was still able to fall asleep in the end. I did wake up a few times though, so I can't say I slept well.
Got my hanko today! I have opened a bank account as well.
Time for me to get off work, will write more next time. I'll try to get internet at home as soon as possible. I think I can get use to those trains.
