Last night, for the first time, I tried sleeping without the air conditioner. The windows were opened to allow the wind in, so it was actually cool enough to sleep. The problem is the bloody trains. The passenger trains are not so bad, but the cargo trains are loud and they're long. I counted one passing by once - it was 22 segments long! By the ( Read more... )

You normally sleep with air conditioning on? Hm, I couldn't do that, it'd get me sick in the first night.

I used to be afraid of train sounds back when I was small (they could be heard from where I lived, though not really close). I think it went away after getting told some 3-4 times that it was just the train. (笑)

Luckily I don't get sick from sleeping with air con on (unless sleeping with wet hair).

It's so cute to be afraid of train sounds~ I don't think I was scared of much when I was little, not even thunder claps scared me. The movie Jaws scared me me for a good few years though.

Hehe... I have the older model of that same TV! It's really good btw... I have it in white. It's my baby.

Also when I first moved into my apartment I couldn't sleep because of the traffic that passes by my house. I imagine it's kind of the same as the train passing... but after a while I got used to it. I always sleep with my air-con on too! I hate waking up sweaty...

I bought it~ It's in white as well. Now I just need to get the antenna cable.

Wonder which is worse...traffic passing or train passing. I guess I shouldn't complain so much since people living on the 1st and 2nd floor have it worse than I do.

dude, i hear ya. across from our house they're doing construction work, bulldozing trees, stamping down the ground with huge noisy compressor things. it sucks and they start up around 6:30am every morning...-_- and if it's not that, it's the traffic roaring past when the highway's jammed.

when i was in korea, my hasukjib was right under/next to a train line...and yeah, my brain filtered it out too after a while.

Man, it sounds like it's noisier at your place than at mine. You must be sleeping early now that you wake up so early as well ^^;
