somehow, it's almost funny to me how the internet, which allows the opportunity to communicate with literally millions of people all over the globe, makes me feel really alone. kind of "funny haha" but mostly "funny/sad." why am i writing this? i should be reading instead.

You aren't the only one who feels that way.

It's like being in the middle of NYC. There's 10 million people around you, but you know none of them, and can't talk to them. Which makes it feel even worse than if you were in the middle of Montana.

Yeah, that's a good analogy. there's just such an irony in the idea that something made for communication ends up isolating us even more.
