HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2 REVIEW!! (SPOILERS)
All I will say above the cut is that I am completely in states over the movies ending. It was worse with the books, but the movies are sort of the final farewell.
I went with siriuslyyellow, nicole2686, and Candice. We got in line behind chloecantdraw and pohsinpearls. Awesome meeting new people! XD
NOW ONTO THE MOVIE SPOILERS!! SPOILER ALERT!!
Yes, they changed the movie from the books. Like they always do. So, I'll just give some highlights (and lowlights) of my experience.
1. DRACO CLUTCHING HARRY. They kept it in. And IT WAS AWESOME. Short, but amazing. The entire destruction of the room of requirement scene really fucking owned.
2. Snape's memories. Snape's death and the pensieve flashback scene were PHENOMENAL!! They really rocked. XD
3. The forbidden forest scenes were great. Both when Harry sees the ghosts of James, Lily, Sirius, and Remus (and Sirius and Remus are standing next to each other), and when Harry gets "killed".
4. The Malfoys were GREAT!! Narcissa was pitch-perfect, as was Draco. It was crazy seeing Lucius so beaten down.
5. The white room scene of death. They kept the creepy dead baby in. BUT!! They didn't have Dumbledore being apologetic and crying! WTF?!?! So Dumbledore end up looking ridiculously asshole-ish while Snape ends up looking saint-like. Hm.
6. Bellatrix and the Death Eaters were amazing. OBV so was Voldemort. Hands down.
7. Ginny was TERRIBLE!! Of course. No surprise there. Bonnie Wright didn't learn to act between these movies.
8. THOSE FUCKING GRINGOTTS GOBLINS TORTURED A DRAGON FOR NO REASON OKAY WHAT THE FUCK. That was probably the most disturbing thing in the entire movie. Everyone was horrified.
9. Harry and Dumbledore diving off the tower was okay, but really, why add that in when they cut so much out?
10. I think everyone is going to be pleased. Most characters got screen time in this one.
Overall, it was fucking sad. No. Like. I mean, REALLY FUCKING SAD. Not a dry eye in the house, for real. Besides all the popular character deaths, it was also like the end of an era. Harry Potter. You will be missed. ♥
