bittergourd dropped the remake bomb on us yesterday with the announcement that Peter Berg has signed on to direct the new film version of Frank Herbert's Dune. Needless to say, the idea of the man behind The Kingdom and The Rundown directing a film adaptation of a novel that has confounded film makers such as David Lynch and (some would say) John Harrison is ( Read more... )

I didn't think it was empowering to pose naked for national magazines until you were past forty. Did the rules change on me? Is it also now not "extremely courageous" for a male actor to show his willy in a movie?

Male frontal nudity should not be as taboo in this country as it is. It bothers me. Especially since female frontal nudity is old hat.

Don't get me started on weird Hollywood double-standards. Those damn thing continue to give us movies where we're expected to believe 21 year old girls routinely want to have wild sex with 55 year old men. It was just getting creepy for a while with Woody Allen, Sean Connery, and Michael Douglas.

Scratch that. I just found it one IMDB and read the cast list.

Going the people involved, I think we can safely say this is indeed softcore f the Cinemax variety. Coming soon to DVD.
