Okay, so this is my first fanfic here at LJ ^^ Please read and comment!
Title: Crazy little thing called love.
Author: Me
Pairing: Koyato, more to come
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Tegoshi is missing and nobody knows where he is. Koyama thinks he’s getting feelings for Shige, but isn’t sure. Crappy summary, I don’t know what to write XD Well.. enjoy! ^^
The sky was pink and purple as the sun dropped behind the horizon. It was pretty late, and most people had left the beach, but two persons were still sitting side by side, watching the sunset. A soft breeze grew stronger as the minutes passed by and there was a comfortable silence between the two men, who just sat there, enjoying the presence of each other. They had been together all day, starting with a breakfast at home which just turned out as a disaster. But they both got themselves a great laugh. After that they went shopping and had a great time together, goofing around as they always did. After a lunch on a nice café they went to see a movie which was really boring, so to make it funnier they had started throwing popcorn at the people below them. Of course, all the people got irritated and the two boys had to leave. When they got outside they broke down on the floor, laughing until they barely couldn’t breathe anymore. And after an interesting dinner they walked to the beach, and there they sat now. Side by side, watching the sunset in silence. They both were pretty noisy sometimes, but they also knew when to keep quiet. This was a time like that. They didn’t need to say anything. Just knowing that the other was there was enough. They just enjoyed hearing the other ones breath.
“Ne Shige.” The older one broke the silence.
“Hmm?” Shige’s eyes were still closed as he was leaning back, facing the sky which changed colour pretty fast by now.
“What are you thinking about?” Koyama turned his head to look at his friend who looked really peaceful. Koyama loved that about him. He always looked so calm and peaceful, and that made Koyama feel safe. He felt like he was a big brother, when actually Koyama was the older one.
“Nothing special. What we’ve done today, what we’re going to do tomorrow, how much work I have to do when we get home.” Koyama nodded and looked down.
“Yeah… You know, I was thinking about us. How lucky I am to be Shige’s friend. Really, I wouldn’t survive without you. I just want you to know that Shige. You’re my best friend. And I hope we’ll be friends forever. Please never leave my side.” Shige opened his eyes and tipped his head to the side to face Koyama, who looked up and met Shige’s eyes.
“Baka.” Shige smiled. “I’ll never leave you, you know that. You’re my best friend, you’re like my brother. I wouldn’t be able to loose you even if I wanted to.” He grinned and looked into those one-lidded eyes which always made Koyama look more stupid than he was.
“Yeah I guess we’re like brothers ne, Shige. That sounds good.” He leaned against the younger one’s shoulder and sighed. It would feel awkward having someone else doing that, but since it was Koyama, it felt natural. Shige and Koyama had been friends for such a long time now so there wasn’t really anything that would feel weird for them. They had slept in one bed, they had been bathing together, and they even had gone to the toilet together since the lamp was broken and Koyama is afraid of darkness. There wasn’t anything they didn’t know about each other. It was like they shared the same soul.
“Maybe we should go home.” This time it was Shige who broke the silence.
“Eh? Now?” Koyama lifted his head from his friends shoulder and looked with a questioning face on Shige.
”Yes now. We’ve been here for hours. And I’m cold. So let’s go home and make some nice and warm tea.”
“Well I can make you warm.” Koyama put his arms around Shige in a warm embrace and Shige laughed quietly.
“No seriously Kei, I want to go home. The sun is gone in a few minutes, and then it’ll become dark you know.”
“It’s okay since Shige’s here. With you, I’m not scared of anything.” Koyama smiled while still hugging him and Shige laughed.
“Now you sound like Tegoshi!” Koyama started to laugh too and let go of Shige.
“Okay, let’s go home then.” The boys got up and yawned. The sun was almost gone and it had become colder. Koyama shivered and pulled his jacket tight around him.
“Mou, it’s colder than I thought.”
“Yeah, let’s hurry back to the apartment.”

When the two of them stepped inside Shige’s apartment it was already dark outside and it had started to rain a bit. The sound of the raindrops hitting the roof and the smell of Shige’s house made Koyama shiver again and smile. He really felt like home here. Shige went off to make some tea while Koyama cuddled up in the sofa, turning on the TV. There was nothing interesting to watch, so Koyama turned the TV off at the same time Shige entered the living room with two cups of tea.
“Here you go.” He gave Koyama the one with a cat on it and smiled, while he took the one with flowers and tasted the hot, nice smelling tea.
“Thanks.” Koyama sipped the tea and made a quiet humming sound. This was always the best part of Koyama and Shige’s days together. The late evening with tea. There was a silence again between the boys. A cosy silence. They drank their tea and when Koyama was done he put his cup on a small table next to the couch.
“Ne Shige. I want to hear a ghost story. Will you tell me one?” Koyama’s words made Shige almost spit his tea out.
“Eh?? A Ghost story? Aren’t you afraid of ghosts?”
“Yes I am. But I just got a feeling I wanted to hear one. I don’t know why. Please?” Shige laughed and put his cup away to.
“Yeah, sure. But don’t blame me when you’re screaming and telling me to stop.”
Koyama laughed and moved closer to Shige before closing his eyes.
“Okay… Where to begin…”
After only a few minutes in the story, Koyama started to get scared and grabbed Shige’s arm.
“Shigee… I don’t want to hear anymore.” He whined as he looked up on Shige.
“I knew it! You always end up like this, why did you want me to tell a story in the first place?”
“I don’t know.. I didn’t know it would be this scary.” Shige laughed and patted Koyama on the head.
“Let’s sleep instead, should we?”
“Yeah, okay.”
They went to bed and as usual they didn’t get an extra mattress. They were used to sleep in the same bed by now and since Koyama was scared now, he would refuse to sleep alone. They pulled the blanket over their body’s and yawned.
“Oyasumi Kei.”
“Oyasumi.”
A few minutes passed and Shige was about to fall asleep when Koyama suddenly moved closer to him.
“Shige… I’m scared.” Shige let out a loud sigh and opened his eyes.
“Mouu, Kei.. I’m tired. Just try to sleep.”
“I can’t. I swear I heard something. Shigee, please go check.”
“No, I promise there isn’t anything.” Shige changed position so that he was facing the wall instead of Koyama’s scared face and tried to fall back to sleep.
“Shigee..”
“What?! He said in a very annoyed voice still facing the wall with closed eyes.
“I’m getting nervous when you lie like that. It feels like you’re going to turn around any second being a monster or something.” Shige mumbled something and turned around again.
“Are you satisfied now?” He opened his eyes just so he could see Koyama’s face and raised his eyebrows.
“Yep! Thanks. Now I’ll be able to sleep.” Koyama snuggled closer with a smile and closed his eyes.
“Great.” Shige said in a still very bored and annoyed voice. Koyama’s eyes flew open and he looked at Shige with a worried look.
“Ne Shige. Are you mad at me?”
“No I’m not.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes I’m sure! But if you don’t shut up and sleep, I’ll shove this pillow up your ass!”
Koyama giggled.
“You’re cute when you’re angry, you know that?” He snuggled even closer and patted Shige on the head.
“Sleep tight. I won’t bother you again.” Shige sighed and closed his eyes with a smile. Although Koyama was a pain sometimes, he loved his way of being stupid sometimes. It just made him cute. The two of them sometimes acted like a couple, some people actually believed they were. But they were just really, really close friends. The only thing that kept them from being a couple was the kissing and intimate part. And that kind of thing would never happen between these boys. Their friendship was too strong, it would just be ruined. But then why did Koyama like this closeness and warmth he could feel right now? He could feel Shige’s breathe on his face and opened his eyes to watch that peaceful person. He breathed in the scent of Shige and smiled as he looked at the person only a few centimetres away from his own face. They were so close, and Koyama loved it. Just a little move forward and his lips would be touching Shige’s. But he wouldn’t want that to happen, right? Or did he? It felt pretty interesting and exciting thinking about it, but Koyama pushed the thought away. No, he couldn’t do that, not to Shige. What was he thinking? Kissing Shige? That would make him gay, and he definitely wasn’t like that. But then again, why did he always become this excited lying close to Shige? Just feeling the touch of his foot made his heart skip a beat. Koyama fell asleep late that night, still facing Shige.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
A loud sound cut through the air and made Shige moan as he opened his eyes. The sound disappeared for a second but came back again and Shige was now able to tell it was the telephone. He got up from the bed and went with heavy steps to the phone and answered. Koyama woke up the same second Shige leaved the bed and shivered. He felt cold without Shige and pulled the blanket tight against his body and tried to fall back to sleep. A few minutes past by and soon Shige returned to the bedroom with a worried look.
“Koyama.” Shige didn’t get back in the bed; he stood next to it, looking at Koyama.
“Mm..?” Koyama was almost sleeping, barely hearing the words.
“It was Yamapi just now on the phone. Tegoshi’s missing.” A few seconds of silence past by and suddenly Koyama’s eyes were wide open as he sat up in the bed.
“Tegoshi is what?!” He looked at Shige who sighed, still looking really concerned.
“Yamapi told me they hadn’t reached Tegoshi on his phone and he wasn’t at his apartment. He’s gone. They don’t know where he is, they’ve been looking for him all morning. Not even Massu know what happened to him.”
“You have to be kidding me. When did they last see him?”
“I don’t know. I think Massu spent yesterday with him, but I don’t know. We should get together all of us and talk about it.” Koyama nodded.
“Yeah, let’s get dressed and call them.”
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
When they were all gathered at a café, Yamapi was the first to speak.
“Okay. So, did anyone of you spend yesterday with Tegoshi-kun? Or the day before yesterday? When was the last time you saw him?”
“Well… I met him yesterday. We had lunch together and then we both went home I think.” Massu looked at the others with a look they never had seen on him before. He was always the calm one, but right now, he looked really scared.
“Okay.. Did he say anything about where he was going after meeting you?”
“Ano… I don’t remember. He said a lot of things, but I didn’t listen to it all.. I’m sorry! But I think he was going to see someone. At least I remember him saying something about taking care of something. But I don’t know if that has to do with this. Maybe he was just going to water his flowers or something…” Massu was looking down in the table, afraid that the others were going to scold him.
“Okay, I see. Does anyone else know anything?” They all sat quiet.
“Well, I’ve been with Shige all day yesterday. And the day before, and the day before that. So.. Um, I don’t really know anything.” Yamapi sighed and scratched his head.
“I don’t know what to do. Should we call the police?”
“Of course! We have to do something, we can’t just sit here and it would be a waste of time to just go looking after him at random places. What if he’s been kidnapped? We have to find him. We will, right?” Massu looked at the others and they could almost see tears in his eyes.
“Yeah. I’m calling the police. Try to remember if there is anything he could have said that would be important to know.” Yamapi got up from the chair and went outside.
The others looked at each other.
“Ne Ryo-chan. When did you last see him? You two spend some time together right?” Koyama looked at the black haired man sitting in front of him. He hadn’t said anything yet and looked like he was snapped out of a day dream when Koyama said his name.
“No, I don’t know anything…” He looked kind of confused and sad and they all figured he was quite depressed about this, since he and Tegoshi were really close. After Ryo’s words, they all sat quiet a long time.
“I’ve called the police, they’ll do anything they can to help us.” Yamapi entered the building again and took a seat next to Ryo.
“Should we order something to eat? I mean, we’re in a café after all and there’s nothing we can do right now but wait and try to come up with something.” They all nodded slowly but Massu still looked down in the table.
“Yeah, you eat something. I’m not hungry…” The words shocked everyone. This was the first time they had ever heard Massu say no to food.
“Are you sure? I think they serve Gyoza here.” Koyama looked at him.
“Yes I’m sure… I don’t feel like eating. Not now, not when I don’t know what has happened to Tesshi.” Massu got up and leaved the café without another word. Apparently he was really sad, and they all looked at each other, wondering if someone was going to go after him. But when none of them did anything, Koyama got up and was about to leave, when Yamapi grabbed his wrist.
“Let him be alone. I don’t think he wants to see anyone right now.” Koyama nodded slowly and sat down on his chair again. And before anyone had the chance to say anything, Ryo got up and started to move towards the door.
“I’ll call you later.” He disappeared. There was a silence for a few minutes before Shige said his first words this afternoon.
“Should we order something?”
