Title: My Last Train

Summary: Ryo struggles with what his and Uchi's relationship has turned into. He needs a brake to think. He still loves Uchi but he ends up unable to go back and tell him.
I'm really sorry for this chapter! Not only did it take me forever to update, but also you won't get what you've probably been waiting for. But please be patient. This story is not over yet! ^_^
Chapter 4 - Desperate
He could feel himself waking up as a pair of lips met his own in a morning kiss. ”Mmm... Ohayo” This was definitely one of his top 5 favorite ways to wake up, together with waking up to the smell of freshly made pancakes and some other slightly more x-rated examples. Just as he was about to deepen the kiss by sneaking his tongue in, the delicious lips he'd been kissing was gone. He abruptly opened his eyes to search the room of his missing boyfriend. He found him in front of the wardrobe picking out what to wear. “ It's about time you get up, I'm leaving for work soon” His lover was eagerly fixing his tie keeping his eyes on the mirror as he said this.
Koyama gave Shige a small pout. “Yada!” At this the only one with clothes on turned around finally giving all his focus to Koyama. “What do you mean, yada? I have to go to work you know.” Koyama threw himself back on the bed. “But I want you to stay. Pleeeeease, just for a little while. I'm sure you'll like it” At this Shige came forward sitting down on their bed. He smiled at Koyama as he held his chin. “Kei, you know that if I stay I won't be able to just stay awhile. Besides... Didn't you say you were going to go see Uchi again today?”
' “Kei, it's all my fault...” Koyama was holding a shaking Uchi tightly as the other man wept in his arms, blaming himself. “I was so stupid... I... I actually... What should I do?” Uchi's words was slurred and unclear because of the crying. “So, so... I'm sure he'll be back soon. He loves you, you know that he does.” It was heartbreaking for him to see his friend in this state, not even being able to support him in any other way than embracing him and trying his best to tell him that everything would be fine.” It had been four days since Ryo disappeared without a trace and every day Uchi had been out looking around town, and then disappointed and miserable return home at night crying himself to sleep with Koyama by his side.'
“Yeah... He really needs a friend right now. He's been changing since Ryo disappeared. Sometimes he just cries all day long just to be out partying the next. He's probably just doing it trying to force himself not to think about Ryo” Koyama lets out a loud sigh. “And I'm also really worried about Ryo. I've tried to make Uchi call the police but every time I bring it up he just desperately pleads me to give him some more time... I don't get it.” He buries his head in a pillow while kicking with his legs out of frustration.
“Maybe he's feeling guilty?” “Eh? What do you mean?” “Well, Uchi's been blaming himself for what happened right? Maybe he did or said something he's having a hard time with?” The older man looked up at his genius of a boyfriend. “That would make sense, why didn't I think of that?” Shige laughed. “Since when do you think at all?” “Oh, shut up!” Shige took a few steps closer to Koyama who turned away playing upset. “But that's what's so cute about you...” Shige slid his arms around the taller body hugging him tightly from behind and Koyama could feel the smell of Shige's shampoo.
' “Aaaaaw, aren't they adorable!? Look, they're holding hands!” Koyama was playing around with Shige's camera taking pictures of the new couple, enjoying every second of their very first double-date. “Oh, just shut it Koyama” Ryo sounded angry but Koyama knew that his friend was happier than ever now that he and Uchi finally where out and together. “But you know, you guys really are slow, you've been hovering around each other for I don't know how long” Shige gave them a smile as he was packing up their lunches from the brought basket now placing out food on the blanket they sat on. “Well, not everyone can be as perfect as you two are” Ryo said his voice full of sarcasm. “Well thank you Ryo-chan” It seemed as Koyama hadn't got Ryo's real meaning at all. Not that it mattered, that was just the kind of person he was, nothing to do about it but accept it.
“Sooo?” Ryo and Uchi was giving him skeptical looks. “What?” Koyama laid on his stomach watching Uchi in the middle of an attempt trying to feed an embarrassed Ryo. He was dying out of curiosity and even though Shige, the boring guy he was, had told him not bring this subject up today, he simply couldn't help himself. “So, did you have sex yet?” “KOYAMA?!” Not prepared at the screaming Koyama jumped, making his head fall out of his hands that he'd been resting it on. All three had startled him by suddenly voicing out his name. “What? What did I do?” Shige sighed and hit his idiot of a boyfriend smack on the head. “I told you to not go there!” “Why not? I want to know” “But maybe THEY don't want to tell you...”Uchi and Ryo was watching from the sideline, Ryo with his mouth wide open, as the other two was about to start debating further, when Uchi jumped into the conversation before they went out of control. “Actually, we haven't... yet” At this all the others heads turned sharply to look at Uchi. Koyama smiled at his best friend taking his hand to further convey his feeling to the other. “I'm sure it's gonna be great, the most important is that you love each other, ne.” Uchi nodded and gave a small slightly embarrassed smile. “I remember mine and Shiggy-chan's first time...” Now it was Shige's turn to interrupt“Hey don't tell them about that, and don't call me that!” The oldest of the four males just turned shortly towards his lover with a coy expression. “You didn't complain when I called you that last night, begging fo...” By now Shige's face was beet red “Fine I get it!” Yosh! This meant that it was Koyama's victory, he had won. Ryo gave Shige an encouraging and understanding hand on the shoulder as they watched their boyfriends happily sharing every dirty little secret with each other. Neither would ever forget this moment.
Koyama and Shige is in the car currently outside Uchi and Ryo's apartment complex. “You want me to come and pick you up later?” Shige watches Koyama in the passenger seat. “Mmm, yeah, that would be great” Shige leans forward and gives Koyama a peck on the cheek. “Good luck, I'll come as soon as work ends. Okay?” Koyama steppes out of the vehicle giving his boyfriend a loving smile. “Okay, I'll see you later” As he watch the car getting smaller he wonders how Uchi will be today.
' It was warm and stuffy inside the club and some dance beat was drilling in Koyama's head as he frantic searched the room for Uchi's familiar face. “I'm sorry, I'm here with someone already” Koyama could hear Uchi before he saw him “Sure you are... We're both hot right? I'm sure we can figure something out” Koyama found Uchi trying to force himself on another man. Koyama grabbed Uchi's shoulder and pulled him of the obviously uncomfortable man that was Uchi's latest victim. “I'm so sorry, he's had to much... I really apologize”. The handsome man smiled at Koyama “It's okay, really. You don't have to apologize.” At this moment another man appears, he to looks very handsome, though slightly smaller than the other “Who doesn't have to apologize Jin?” The newly arrived male, eyes Koyama and Uchi suspiciously. “Ah, Kame... Relax, it's just my sexiness driving people crazy again. Nothing new.” The man, if assumed correctly, named Jin makes a”sexy” pose to further prove his point, earning a smack in the head from his friend Kame. “I'm sure this idiot did something stupid, I'm sincerely sorry” Kame made a slight bow in Koyama and Uchi's direction. “AH! No, not at all. We're the ones that are sorry” Koyama bowed to Kame and Jin, pulling Uchi with him in a forced apology. “See, I didn't do anything wrong” Jin pouted and pointed at the still apologizing pair.
Koyama was trying his best to lead a wobbly Uchi home “Why did you do that? It doesn't solve anything, you'll only feel worse if you betray Ryo like this...” Koyama was angry at Uchi, but he knew that yelling wouldn't do any good in this case. Instead he just tried to imprint the picture of an hurt and devastated Ryo if he found out cheating on him, in Uchi's head. The drunk man fell asleep as soon as he hit the bed and Koyama guessed that he probably wouldn't remember a thing tomorrow.
He was outside the apartment now, knocking at his friends door. No answer today, Uchi was either asleep or in a bad mood then. Taking out the extra key he currently possessed he unlocked and stepped inside. “Uchi? It's Koyama.” When he found no answer he went to the bedroom and as anticipated he found a snoring man in only his underwear spread out on the bed. The actor let out a deep sigh. “At least he's not drunk already”
It had taken some time for Koyama to wake the other, as he was in a apparently very deep slumber. But now they where both sitting by the dinner table with one hot cup of freshly made coffee each. “Wow, my head feels like my brain is trying to escape...” Uchi held a hand at his temple massaging it in a feeble attempt to sooth the pain some. Koyama smiled “The way you behaved last night your brain probably ran away a long time ago” Uchi looked up with a weak smile “That bad, huh?”
For the first in a long time Koyama could feel the old Uchi peeking through, if yet a little worn and ruffled. They sat a couple of hours speaking happily of old times as they heard a knocking. “Eh?” Koyama looked at his clock, it showed a few minutes past lunch. “Maybe Shige finished early?” They gave each other a wondering look before Koyama stood up to open the door.
He was surprised to find a complete stranger staring back at him. “Yes?” The man looked nervous, he was taller than Koyama but seemed slightly younger. He was handsome and Koyama briefly wondered if this could be the result of one of Uchi's nightly escapades he didn't know about. This thought quickly dispersed as the stranger opened his mouth. “Are you Uchi Hiroki?” Koyama was surprised, so he didn't know Uchi. Then who was he? “Eh... No. I'm not Uchi.” The younger man looked disappointed, almost sad. “Oh, I'm sorry then...” He bowed and turned to leave, but before Koyama had a chance to stop him... “He's not Uchi, but I am!” Uchi had come to the front door curious as to what took Koyama such time. The stranger ran past Koyama before he even had a chance to react, he stopped right before Uchi grabbing his arms. “My name is Ohkura Tadayoshi, I'm a doctor. I'm here because of one of my patients.” Koyama was baffled, what on earth was going on?
It's from Koyama's POV this time... How did you like it? I'm really sorry that I didn't go directly to the meeting of Ohkura and Uchi, but I felt that I had to squeeze in some KoyaShige. Also I wanted you to see Uchi from another point of view before what's coming next.
Jin and Kame also had a little appearance, I like to write about a lot of JE-boys. ^-^~<3
