Harry Potter: The Exhibit, first visit

I didn't get my hopes up for it, I'm trying my best to not do that lately for a lot of things. I usually set myself up for dissapointment if I do. But this exhibit was well beyond my expectations

Yes on the original AD robes!

Those costumes are made to look a certain way under lights...hence the cream and the green.

To me Snape's robes look purple...it will be interesting to see the real thing. Cool there is theater makeup on the costumes...=)

I cant wait to see this for myself.

Snape's robes are definitely not purple, but rather a warm tint of black. There are actually so many different colors of black. Now that I've seen the outer robe up close, I'm confident I can make the perfect robe!

I am not much into movie costume duplication. If I remake Snape, it's robes. Definately robes.

Fantastic review! Now I want to redo my CoS costume, all but the robes. Since I may not have the funds/time to do my leather outfit justice until Infinitus, perhaps I'll focus the upgrade of the CoS robes. *grins*

I have pinstripe trousers, but I need red stripes on black.

That was an EXCELLENT post and I can now see why they charge so much to get in to that exhibition!

Who the hell decided Lucius' waistcoat/frockcoat would be green and red???? Talk about colours not going together!!! Black and red yes.. but green and red!! You could never tell his trousers are pinstriped in the film either, or that the DLs robes are green!

It's not green, it's black. It was just that Voldemort's lighting was somewhat bleeding onto Lucius's outfit. That whole section was really dark (as it should be, because it was all the Dark Wizards!) and not really good for picture taking. But I did my best!

It is a must see! I plan to go at least three more times, it was just that awesome. And on the off chance that I go on a day when Rowling or Radcliffe go! I hear they plan on visiting Chicago at some point to come to the exhibit.

Wow! Wouldn't that be awesome if we were there at the same time. I'd end up in jail for sure (LOLOLOL)I'd love to meet her, I have a billion questions to ask her. Plus I would get down on my knees and beg her to write more!
