hah hah! i have the same problem with emily. she simply does not understand what its like to not have anyone on demand. but you are not ugly, you have just been spending too much time around people like emily, who is drop dead gorgeous, and can make you feel ugly. i know what you mean about it being a completely different universe, though. for her, its just a matter of "do you like him? do it!" as if its that simple and straight foward.
