large FO series
So I hadn't been able to knit for a while, due to school and some random personal issues that I couldn't get off my back. But once Winter Break came, I was back in force. In addition to two works still on the needles, I also have:
This is *supposed* to be a ninja turtle hat for my friend Taz, who is obsessed....OBSESSED. The eyes are too far apart, and Ive obviously done a bit of garter in between the eyes where I messed up the 1x1 ribbing...but I figure a black stitched in angry eyebrow will draw the illusion that the eyes are closer together than they are. I dunno. I may fiddle with it more than that. I am, however...very happy with how the decreases came out
This is just a simple stockinette hat with a 2x2 ribbing brim and pom pom...I promised my friend a bright orange hat with a big pom pom...well..It took months, but I finally cast on about a week ago. There is one error on it, but Im ok with that.
And this, which oddly enough, was the first thing I finished this break, is a plain old non-fancy 1x1 ribbed scarf for myself. Its cheap Joann Fabric Brand Yarn (Beautiful I think is the name) but its a fabulous color (as you can see when the scarf is modeled by Tank. So sexy, I know). Its shorter than my usual scarf (by like half), but I only had one skein, so...I deal.
Other than those, Im also Working on a 1x1 ribbing Tumnus scarf for my friend Dannielle for her *late* xmas present...and a gigantically long and never-ending and god-forsaken Dr Who scarf.
I cant wait till those are done so I can make ME something more substantial than a scarf
