Just got back from a trip to Durham, NC to visit my cousin and then take a side trip to NYC. Aside from seeing a couple Broadway shows and some amount of sightseeing, the main highlights of this trip were the wide and varied places we went to for good food

We (well, I had a bite and my cousin had the rest) had tres leches cake at Limones for dessert. That was a very lovely cake, too.

That all looks delicious. It's been ages since I've had a good scallop dish. mmmm...

Yep, the scallop was perfectly done. Dry pack scallops with a good sear just taste sooo good. Pity it costs USD24/lb for the raw scallops, so it's a bit of a treat to cook at home, too.
