Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Officially stated by Yun Kouga, Yuiko is 167cm tall, weighs 46kg, and her bust measures 95cm.
This translates roughly to 5'5" tall and 101.2 pounds in weight. I'm unsure exactly how the measurement of her bust would translate to bra size, but I estimate a D cup at the very least?
2. How old is she?
Take those prior measurements in mind. She's 13.
At least, that's the estimate. Since Ritsuka himself is 12, and his birthday is aaaall the way back in December, I imagine her age being a little older. But still. Look at those measurements. For a 13-year-old.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?
She's always standing upright, and she doesn't slouch even when she sulks. You'd think she would, given that most of her classmates are around 20cm shorter than she is, but she doesn't.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
She's in great physical condition. Despite her early physical maturity, she's a very healthy little girl.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
She's clumsy at times, usually when she's flustered, but otherwise is surprisingly graceful, in her own way. She has amazing coordination, and doesn't stumble, trip, or lose her balance.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?
She is the cutest! Yuiko isn't really aware of her self-image in a rather specific way - she'll dress herself up to be very cute, but she doesn't think 'I'm so cute!', she thinks 'This is so cute!'. Not that she dislikes the way she looks herself, she simply doesn't seem to pay attention to that sort of thing. Her only problem with her self-image is how big she is despite her age, and that makes her very sensitive about her height and bust. At the same time, it's one thing she's sensitive about that often will not result in her being upset enough to cry about it.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Yuiko has very pretty skin. It's soft and youthful, and since she doesn't do much work with her hands besides arts and crafts, her hands are perfectly soft, with only a small callous on her middle finger where her pencil rests for schoolwork (and sometimes drawing).
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.
It's pink! Since her ears and tail are also pink, I think she might naturally have pink hair (hey, weirder things happen in Loveless). Her hair is a little thin, but very soft and rather long. She ties it into pigtails on a daily basis, but she'll dress up on occasion herself.
9. What color are her eyes?
Yun Kouga doesn't have an image of her eyecolor that's clear, but I prefer the interpretation of her with bright, beautiful blue eyes.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
For her world, it's not that uncommon, but outside of it, she has a pair of cute pink ears and a little puppy-dog-like tail. In her world, virgins have these until they lose their virginity. Yuiko won't be losing these for a long while.
11. What are her chief tension centers?
Though Yuiko doesn't usually get tense, the muscles on her upper back likely get tense just because of her bust size.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?
She dresses in anything she thinks is cute! She has a preference for pinks and reds, but she'll wear all sorts of bright, cheerful colors.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?
Yuiko seems comfortable in anything she wears, and she probably picks clothes that feel comfy.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?
She doesn't have a school uniform, so she dresses as usual.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Cute panties.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
It sounds young! Unlike most other aspects of her body, her voice actually matches her age more than anything else. It's young, and cute, and a comfortable tone for a girl.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?
Excitedly! She's always speaks her mind, and she speaks honestly and openly, with the exact emotion she was feeling. She can be a little loud, especially when she's excited, but she never hesitates unless it involves admitting her feelings directly to Ritsuka.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Though she has improved, once in a while, when she's stressed or panicked, she'll refer to herself in third person. Otherwise, Ritsuka taught it out of her.
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?
Native Japanese, as well as a 13-year-old can.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
Nope!
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?
She's good at communicating exactly what she's feeling, without having to stop and think about words. If she doesn't know the word, she instead describes in detail what she's trying to say, and she's very clear and easy to understand.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
She's not really eloquent, but she's not inarticulate unless she's frazzled. She's simply Yuiko, and her speak is simply hers.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?
Yuiko is much smarter than she gives herself credit for. Perhaps because her friends often pick on her for being an idiot, Yuiko simply adopted that opinion of herself, since she couldn't really prove them wrong. She didn't read or write very well, and she didn't try to articulate her words in any way. Once Ritsuka arrived, his encouragement and prompting caused her to rethink about her 'dumbness', and she started to read and write.
She's a very good learner, especially with the right encouragement, and she remembers more than one would think. More than anything, Yuiko is amazingly perceptive, especially of body language.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?
She dwells on things, at times, but she's so open with her thoughts and emotions that she doesn't give herself much time to dwell on anything before people can interact with her open thoughts.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
She's very intuitive, but it's hard to say she's idealistic or practical. She's a very emotional thinker, and focuses predominantly on emotions more than anything else.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
She's still in grade school.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
She's very good at artistic things. She has excellent color coordination. But she expressed interest in becoming a kindergarden teacher, a florist, a baker... she's still very young and has a blank slate to carve for the future.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
She's very extroverted! She hates being lonely so much that she'll cry with other people are lonely.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Yuiko has absolutely no inhibitions in terms of emotions. She doesn't try to mute them, control them or change them. If she feels them, she feels them full force. She's a very happy person as a whole, but she can be a worrywart, and if she's upset she'll cry. She's not really laid-back, but she's driven only when she finds a reason to be driven (99% of the time, the reason involves Ritsuka.)
8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
She's extremely friendly, and she trusts people unconditionally. But if someone is creepy or scary, she'll be rather timid around them until the conversation convinces her otherwise. She has an easy time making friends because of how open she is.
9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?
It depends very highly on the situation. She tends to hesitate in new, strange situations, so she has to rely on reaction.
10. Which is her default: fight or flight?
Yuiko doesn't fight in any sense - not even to defend herself. Her 'flight' response is usually to burst into tears.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
Her sense of humor is very innocent, but she's not always able to get the jokes told to her.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?
She's perfectly healthy!
13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?
The most defining moment for Yuiko was when she met Ritsuka. Ritsuka has been changing her dramatically ever since the two became friends.
14. What does she fear?
Loneliness, other people being sad, and anything creepy or scary!
15. What are her hopes or aspirations?
She's very young, so many of her hopes span just about anything you could hope for. More often than not, she hopes that her friends are safe and happy.
16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
Yuiko doesn't keep secrets.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.
She has a very healthy relationship with her parents.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
No siblings!
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?
We don't know that yet.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?
She considers Soubi to be a big brother of sorts, and, of course, Ritsuka is a big part of her life.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Ritsuka! She met Ritsuka when he transferred into her class.
6. Does she have other close friends?
She does. Most of her classmates are very mean to her, though. There's also Yayoi, who has been her friend for a long time.
7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?
She makes friends very quickly.
8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?
She probably couldn't chose, but since Ritsuka is currently a friend...
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?
She's 13! :(
10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
Not mutually, but she has an obvious interest in Ritsuka.
11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?
Ritsuka, her first and latest.
12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?
She doesn't actively seek romantic partners - she simply fell in love.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?
She loves kids, so probably someday she'll have her own.
14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?
No rivals, but the other kids her age tend to tease her.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?
She doesn't have a sexual drive yet. She's a-sexual, but not a-romantic.
16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her?
I'm not really sure she even knows what sex is.
17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?
Assuming her birthday is just in front of Ritsuka's, she would have been born in 1990 (as Loveless takes place in 2002). This would make her the year of the Horse (like myself). Wiki list the traits as: "Cheerful, popular, quick-witted, changeable, earthy, perceptive, talkative, agile-mentally and physically, magnetic, intelligent, astute, flexible, open-minded. Can be fickle, arrogant, childish, anxious, rude, gullible, stubborn." She suits the positive traits of the Horse more than the negative ones.
Her birthday is not known, but I head-canon her birthday in the middle of May, more for the bright and energetic season than for the astrological sign.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?
Spirituality and religion in general are very mild in Japan, and Yuiko probably doesn't even think about those sorts of things.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
She doesn't have any set rules, but she tries her best to make people happy.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
She questions them, mostly out of curiosity. She absorbs information like a sponge.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?
She doesn't hold any prejudices except that she's terrified of creepy things...
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Her parents are comfortably in middle-class.
2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?
As above! It doesn't hold much of an impact on her.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?
She lives with her parents, in a family house. It's the average home you would expect from a cozy little family.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?
Cute things, probably.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?
She's just a student.
6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?
She loves arts and crafts!
7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
She likes sweets or junk food, but she'll eat anything that people give her.
