Well I played wow a lot. I have four characters that are all from levels 10 - 19. I'll see about which ones I take forward ( Read more... )

If you're on the alliance on Ysera, look up Lindele or Koryn. That's me and Cy. We also have several alts that you might find us on and we can run you through instances and whatnot. Not many people run the old instances anymore so if you're interested in getting quests done or getting some drops, we can hel pyou out. (alts: Zalilii, Sunnyflower and Harpsichord is me; Eiliailyse, Aristina and Corixa is him)

As a note, Jewelcrafting CAN sorta get you money, but it's going to cost you a lot of money before you can get any from it. It's sort of like Enchanting except all the rare and good gem cuts are world drops and very expensive on the auction house these days.

Why wouldn't people be sending their characters through the lower instances? I remember deadmines having great leather armour drops. And instances are always more fun then simple grinding. Am I missing something. I can understand not doing the same high-level raids and instances because there are alternatives, but what alternative is their for Gnomerang?

I can imagine upper level Jewelcrafting can be expensive. But for the low cost of 6 silver, I got the jewel cutter and can sell a +2 ring or necklace for 4 silver without auction. And the gem drops aren't that rare. It may not be the moneymaker that tailoring/skinning or skinning/mining but it seems like a nice little low-level plus so far.

Now alchemy, as my warrior is finding, can be a bit of a gold-mine. 2 gold from 2 auctions at level 18 is unreal. I can afford to send my priest mana and rejuvination potions now! And my level 30 mount won't be a problem at all!

There's just not enough people leveling lower level characters to get groups going through those instances that much anymore. I mean, sure, occationally you'll have a group go through but it's not a frequent occurence. And even if there's enough people in that level range, they're often not of proper group makeup ( ... )

kpnabs on AIM. I'm on most days at work.

I tend not to AIM or IRC at home because I'm either not on the computer or doing other things that are resource hogs like WoW that I don't want to be distracted from.

Yeah, I realize upper level can be tough. I was talking to Trunky on AIM and he said that upper level Jewelcrafting is worst in terms of high level patterns and drops. But at a low level, so far it's working out for me.
