Last night I attended a Richard Dawkins lecture.

For those of you who are unaware of his work he has written greatly on the theory of evolution and is a well renowned athiest.  There were a few things that he brought up in his lecture that kind of baffled and worried me a bit.  In one of his examples on evolution he used roses.  He spoke of how ( Read more... )

We talked about this in some of my Cornell classes. Kinda scary. Apples, same thing.

Bread is ground up embryos! :-P

The bananas they grew on St. Lucia were delicious. And seeing them grow everywhere on the island was pretty cool too. People messing with food supplies is always...scary. Makes me want to go colonize Mars, where engineered plant pollen can't get to us.
