It's like one of those sci-fi movies: the protagonist wakes up only to find out that he's lost something valuable; likewise, Jinki wakes up and discovers that his voice is all gone.

He finds out about it when Kibum calls out to him, asking, "Taemin doesn't have classes today, right?" He grunts and says - supposedly, but without sound - "Yeah, it's a holiday," but nothing comes out. He tries calling Kibum's attention but Kibum doesn't seem to hear him. Panicking, he shakes Kibum with all his strength, constantly saying his name.

"What the- Hyung, you said yourself that Taemin-"

Jinki lips are trembling, tears forming at the corners of his eyes. He tries talking again, saying, "Please tell me you can hear me," and Kibum replies only because he can read people's lips.

"I-I can't, hyung. I can't."

It's all Jonghyun's fault. That's exactly what Kibum tells the teacher, his parents, and the kid whose bike had somehow ended up in the crossfire. He tries to be casual about it -- seeing as it wasn't his fault -- but the guy keeps staring at him like Kibum ran over his dog or something and it's kinda hard to stay calm when he looks like he's on the verge of crying ( ... )

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that while Kibum had sold out Jonghyun to the others, Jonghyun had ended up doing the exact same thing. Unsurprisingly, neither ended up going unpunished, and now they were both trailing behind a delighted Lee Jinki ( ... )

As for himself, he eyes the room that Minho had pointed out earlier. Room 501, where Minho was supposed to be. The door is wide open, and despite the fluorescent lighting, Kibum can tell that there's light streaming in from the windows as well ( ... )

ano~on. what was this about mine being better? ;_; this was wonderful, i don't even. ♥ taemin not really being in the wheelchair, but having key believe he was handicapped, so cute. :"D it put a huge smile on my face, and i adore this.

“You stink.” The comment is offhand, Jonghyun leaning over the back of the couch, chin resting on the crown of Taemin’s head. He smoothes his right fingers over the sleeve of Taemin’s shirt, hooks his index finger in the oversized armhole, and pinches the blue fabric. Taemin rolls his eyes, sighing. “Like, really bad.”

“you can’t smell, dips hit.” The words are written on a faded blue post-it, placed upside-down on Jonghyun’s jaw line.

“Then you must smell really awful,” Jonghyun grins against the skin between Taemin’s ear and hairline. He pulls at the shirt. “Come on, let me clean you so maybe I can breathe again.”

In times like these, Taemin finds, it’s best not to argue. So he follows Jonghyun to the bathroom, and pretends to look annoyed when Jonghyun loops his fingers along the underside of his jeans.

The annoyance is only faked for a few seconds as Jonghyun helps him focus on other, more pressing, matters.

“Speech isn’t a sense, you know,” Kibum writes to Taemin on a post-it note, sticking it to the hollow of ( ... )

i really liked reading the snarkiness of the members, lol. i wish i had been this creative when i was writing, but i think this was really entertaining~!
