He's a font of misplaced rage. Name your cliche: mother held him too much, or not enough, last picked at kickball, late night sneaky uncle, whatever. Now he's so angry, moments of levity actually cause him pains gives him headaches. Happiness, for that gentleman, hurts.L is always brooding. People are always pissing him off for one reason or another. He hates the way people stare at him, the way they mistake his beauty for something else, some intangible quality that they themselves lack. Everyone wants something from him. His members embarrass him every chance they get--to remind him that he's still one of them, that when it comes down to it he still belongs to some no-name second-place rookie group. his fans want him to be their prince. sungyeol wants him to bring the mood up, and woohyun wants him to bring the mood down. he is not a fucking barometer ( ... )

lol, the mellow jello line was kinda cheesy, but it does provide an unnatural sense of levity that makes me understand the quote more. there's so much tension in here too, and it really matches with the quote and idk. it's pretty intense. that last part, where you just break off his moment of satisfation is really good and wow. i liked this a lot. nice job, anon. :)

the quote's from con air, a movie from 1997 (i think). it has a lot of explosions and it's really actiony. i highly recommend it.

By the time he's through with high school, Dongwoon has long since gotten used to the people throwing themselves at him. It something he needed to learn to get used to, because having his classmates proclaim undying love and loyalty to him would have been very annoying otherwise.
At first it had been nice, being the center of attention without people feeling intimidated by his foreign looks. It was easy to make friends in a new setting and wherever he wanted to go, everyone else did too and he felt like the most popular guy in school with how everyone was treating him.
But it wasn't hard to miss the whispers from the few who didn't go crazy for him, who weren't as affected by whatever it was that drew the others to him.

But sometimes, Dongwoon wonders if there's someone who would like him for being him -- not just because he's somehow magically attracting them to him with false promises of love and devotion. Who he would find himself drawn to for no explicable reason, other than because he felt like they belonged together rather than because they had super pheromones too.
