Your fingers are skipping over keys and setting the tone off in this horrible way that's irritating the hell out of me. Just stop already, is what I really want to tell you. We're side by side and I can think of a thousand people that are much better at this than you, myself included. There are times when I wonder if impatience is something that runs through my blood, down my family line and all. And when I think about it, these are things I'd never actually tell you. I feel guilty even thinking them. You're young, you can read music, and I know you have promising vision. So I will just smile and encourage you the way you enjoy most. A soft graze of my fingers against your blonde hair just to reassure you that I'm not actually annoyed. I look at you with that same smile, and you look back for a second, and I mentally tell you I love you because you made me realize that the little details just aren't as important as I thought.

Younha used to write songs about everything.
She keeps a diary filled with her thoughts, from the way she was feeling the moment she wakes up, to whatever the last thing is on her mind before she goes to bed at night. She'd flip through the pages whenever she needs the inspiration, and she'd easily find it, and then she'd sit in front of the piano her parents had bought for her when she was a little girl, and she'd make music.
She would sing under her breath while her fingers fly over the black and white keys, only pausing every now and then to take down notes on the arrangement of the melodies and the beats.
And then she meets Hongki.
They're at a little cafe just five minutes away from the university where they're both music majors, and he has a big smile on his face the first time she is introduced to him by mutual friend they have. Hongki is two years younger than her, and there is something cheeky about his grin, and the way he calls her noona instead of sunbaenim, but Younha lets it slide because she knows he means no harm

"I can't be your replacement anymore," Donghae tells Hyukjae.
The words are sad, and he sounds sad, but he's wearing a big smile on his face, dimples and all, that Hyukjae is a little confused.
"Replacement?" Hyukjae asks. "You're not a replacement for anything, Hae."
Donghae just laughs. "We're best friends, right, Hyukjae?"
"Of course," Hyukjae answers, his forehead creased, unsure what the point of the entire conversation is.
"Like, bestest best best ever friends?" Donghae prods. "BFFs?"
"Of course," Hyukjae says, getting a little impatient. "Now what's your point?"
Donghae sighs. "See. Right there, you just lied to me. I know we're good friends, really good friends, and that I really am one of your best friends, the way you're one of mine. But I also know you're just trying to make me a replacement."
"Are you on drugs, Hae?" Hyukjae frowns.
Donghae snorts. "Sometimes you tell me things, and I know you expect me to react the way Junsu would. And then your expression always falls for a split second. It's quick, but I'm not

oh my god, i really liked this. i never even realised that hyukhae really does overshadow hyuksu in terms of bffery, when eunhyuk has admitted that junsu is his best friend. i just love donghae here -- i can imagine him saying all this while being broken hearted inside but still wearing his trademark smile :(

Fuck you LJ
It's almost peaceful. The silence before dawn. Black and pinks on the horizon behind a dusty window. Never mind the ugly alien interruption on the city sky line.
Zhou Mi stirs, looking out of habit at the stopped clock on the wall. Twenty five to nine on the wall clock. AM, PM, doesn't really matter but it's a constant reminder of when the power went out. Where were you when they came? People once whispered. Though not any more

Awww, this was really cute. ♥ It was a little odd not to see Gongchan as the cute (and self-confident in that cute) magnae, but I think it worked out well!
