imho, he's a really hardworker and he loves doing what he does. he went to korea to make more money for his family so he's extremely driven. even though he acts really goofy, jokester, and aloof on shows, he's actually pretty focused when he has to be. he's charming in his own way and takes care of the others well and puts them before himself. seems a wee insecure sometimes idk why (it's hard to spot tbh). very focused on working out and keeping his body fit and healthy. has a great sense of humour and doesn't take himself too seriously. kind of does things his own way and even if he messes up shrugs it off and keeps going. alot of the staff and idols who've met him really seem to care for him.

Jay's definitely the type who works hard at everything he does. On shows/interviews, it's been mentioned that he goes out of his way to make sure everyone else is having fun... So he's pretty playful. He's also quick-witted and a bit dorky, lol.
he's like the average american boy. he has a huge insecurity complex about his face and his height and his voice and his rap and his talent, but he tries not to talk himself down. he's not fishing for compliments, he really does feel pretty inferior about a lot of his talents. likes to goof off, physically rough with his members, pretends to be macho, sometimes insensitive, and brutally honest. all the time. he's a really hard worker though, and he'll push himself until he collapses. a bit of a momma's boy. he doesn't really ever put himself in a position to be taken seriously, despite his age and position as leader, but i think that's just the americanized influence where older =/= wiser, smarter, more capable. he does care a lot about the rest of the members, like a lot a lot. not very coherent. not very eloquent. he likes being the funny guy. he likes learning. he likes proving himself to people, and he'll do it at every chance. agonizes over all his mistakes, which to him, are plentiful.
He seems a lot like my best friend. He jokes a lot thinking he's bad at everything he does, but he's actually really good. Very talented. A rough background maybe? But he doesn't talk about it and keeps a happy face. He probably has a lot on his mind but he downplays it a lot.
from what i've seen on variety shows/interviews, he seems very outgoing and silly. a bit flippant? he also seems like the type of person that'll definitely can and will do something if he puts his mind to it. and he's a health/exercise freak. the 2pm members have said he wakes up a couple hours earlier than everyone else just to exercise. and he never really seemed to care about keeping up the perfect idol image.
this is one of the first things i watched when i first got into 2PM :3
