Weekend Update: Big Ride
I did 34 miles around the island on my bike.
Friday is already a little hazy; probably minecraft. Maybe a little Lego and TV.
Saturday morning was Radio Club breakfast, then a couple of chores before I got out for a long ride on my bike. I made it all the way to the Southern end of the island, marking off all the paved roads West and South of Wax Orchard. I still have a few loose ends around Quartermaster Harbor, but overall, very good progress. My pace was under 10mph with breaks, which was a little disappointing. And it turns out I had 71 miles for the week, which is the most miles I've done in a week since 2013. The rest of the day was mostly screen time, with some Lego table. We watched "The Avengers" the terrible film from the late 90s based on the TV series. Then we watched "The Chronicles of Riddick" which was terrible, but in a much more fun way. We didn't finish it, though.
Sunday I finished mowing the lawn (I had started during the week) before the weather turned, then I puttered a little bit on Tribes code and a bunch more Minecraft. We had family call in the evening, and then radio net, and I read a bunch of my book club book. Oh yeah- S made me yummy fried eggs for lunch, too.
