Another virtual lego convention; not as much fun as a real thing, better than a boot to the head.
I got a little early start on the lawn, and had time to sign into BrickCan for the opening ceremony. There are some fun people at the convention, although I had trouble working up enthusiasm. I didn't set up any GBC at home, and I mostly passively observed the conversation.
Saturday was more of the same; connect to the Zoom call for the convention, play minecraft in another window while I listened. I did get out for a bike ride and finished the lawn. The talk on minifigs was interesting; apparently they were in hidden bags not to make them more addictive, but so they could make people buy figures they expected to be unpopular. As in, the designers explicitly said that. There was a mildly interesting discussion on people's build spaces and storage techniques.
Sunday was still more of the same, although I did break away a little bit. I missed my family call since some of the MOC display was more interesting than expected.
I miss real conventions. I am fully vaccinated tommorrow.
