001 [open-action]

His nose twitches. There was the distinct lack of ocean spray in the air. For that matter, there was a distinct lack of motion indicating he was still aboard his vessel as well. Startled eyes open wide and it so happens to be a stone ceiling staring back at him instead of the open sky. The first thought to run through his mind was - jailed.

Again.

There's a woman in the hallway, attention focused on the book in her hand while she steadily paces along. Late night wandering was always a way to make her relax, to take the edge off the day passed and compile her thoughts in general.

Bottle of alcohol in her free hand, Vie lifts the bottle to her lips and in doing so, notices Jack at the other end of the hall. She pauses.

"Something the matter?"

Oh! A familiar face. Things can't be all that bad then! Well they can be, but hopefully not that bad.

Jack straightens and sheaths the blade, taking a direct approach to William's wife.

"Elizabeth!" He opens his arms in a greeting, even if he's not going to hug her- it's the thought that counts right? "Something so happens is the matter. Could you be a lass and spare me a moment of your time? And tell me what, exactly, is going on here?"

He makes a gesture back to the room he woke up in, " One moment I was asleep on me'ship, well not my ship, or not the ship that is mine but yet again- stolen, but the ship I am borrowing, but enough of that. I was asleep one moment, and the next I wake up, well, here."

He stops in front of her.

"Care to explain?"

Vie watches him approach, remaining where she stands and frowning when he calls her by a different name. She marks her page and snaps the book shut, listening to the babble that spills from his lips.

"You're new then, aren't you? In the room you awoke in there should be a book with your name on it. Inside is a letter answering the bulk of what you've just asked."

She pauses a moment to look at him, frown deepening a fraction.

"And I fear you are mistaken. I am not Elizabeth, nor do I know who she is."

Jack looks from Elizabeth, to the room he came out of and back again. The look of disbelief is apparent.

"The book. " Looks back to the room, and gestures with his head, " That, in there, will answer all of the questions I just asked you, eh?"

He peers at her.

"Elizabeth Turner, what are you playing at? Is this is some kind of, joke? Of course you're you. " He gestures to all of her that is standing in front of him, "Who else would you be?"

And would you believe his luck? There's a troll with a bottle a rum walking down that same hall.

Kevas stops when he sees Jack, bringing the bottle away from his lips and wiping them off on the sleeve of his leather armor. It looks like he's studying Jack for a moment before nodding his head in approval.

"Nice hat mon."

Jack stops dead in his tracks. He studies the... well he doesn't know exactly what that is, right back. Looking up and down for a moment. The blade lowers as his perplexity increased.

Jack raises a hand to his hat, to be sure that it is still even there," Um, thanks."

He has a almost suspicious look on his face. "You're not here to give me a warning of my impending demise, are you? Or otherwise, through action or inaction of your own, kill, maim, or harm me in anyway?"

Have to cover all the bases first.

"Joo be welcome."

Well now it's Kevas' turn to look confused. "I don't t'ink so. I was just gettin' sometin' to drink."Speaking of which, Kevas takes another swig from his bottle.

At least this guy isn't asking him about bridges or goats or whatever it is that pink-skins think trolls do.

Drink? Well, that has his attention. Could he be dreaming? Only one way to find out that one.

Jack waves a hand at the bottle, very interested in that he is," Do tell me, is there Rum in yon container?"

“Do be careful where you wave that thing around.”

The voice that echoed down the hall a ways from Jack was dry, caustic, and bored in intonation. Megamind had decided to make an appearance in the Keep besides the stables today, and as the man had approached, he stifled a sigh and wondered yet again why he had even bothered at all.

“You might put an eye out.”

He could not be seeing this right. Jack is rather taken aback by the appearance of the stranger down the hall. The only shade of blue that he knew that looked like that came from the most expensive indigo dying in India.

It was also hairless, except for a little... fuzz... on it's face.

“ Who are you? What are you?” He raises the tip of his sword a little higher, closer to a engagement position but still unsure of it all. “And what, if I may ask, do you want?”

The only creatures he's ever met like this, wanted something from him. Jack, what'd you do this time?

Oh, because he's never had that reaction before. He gives a long, exaggerated and exasperated sigh at the questions.

"Megamind - Incredibly Handsome Criminal Genius and Master of All Villainy. I'm an alien." Obviously.

"And I want-" He points with the De-gun he's unholstered (Really, everyone's quick to wave their phallic objects around in this place, aren't they?) "--You to stop waving that thing around before you hit someone with it."

Jack quirks an eyebrow at the title, "A little long of a title, don't you think?"

What is that? Looks gun shaped and certainly is held like one. "Now, mate, we don't want to be doing that." He shifts from foot to foot, and the sword is now in the upright and engaged position. "We've just met, and this is a bloody well rotten way to start out meeting someone, wouldn't you agree? Here we are, two gentlemen, with just a misunderstanding, of a kind. Easily fixed. You go your way, and, I go mine?"

Who did he piss off that has blue people in their employ?

[Kairi returned from the kitchens carrying a bowl of small fruits that she meant to keep in her room. They wouldn't last long, but they were colourful at least. But she stopped short when she rounded a corner and saw a dirty-looking man coming toward her with a drawn sword.]

Oh!

[Her hand flies out, a moment from trying to summon her keyblade. She nearly drops the fruit.]

Who are you?

Well that wasn't what he was expecting.

He sheathes the sword in a fluid motion and puts his hands up in a gesture of harmlessness. See? He's a good pirate!

"I want no trouble, lass. I'm just looking for a way out of here."

Preferably a way that pointed to open water and a ship.

"When I find it I'll be on my way and out of yours."

Kairi tilts her head to the side and regards him, curiously. He looks like ... Well a pirate. Kairi's not at all sure what she should make of a real pirate, but he's put his sword away.

"Do you mean out of here," she nods at the nearest wall, "Or out of the castle?"

He looks a little surprised. It wasn't so often that he met young girls that did not at least raise an alarm upon seeing him. That was odd.

An eyebrow goes up, "Well, both. Actually." He offers a smile to her, "If you could tell me the way to the nearest door, and directions to the nearest port I'd be so ever grateful."
